Mac Pro 5.1 kicking circuit breaker

I recently bought a Mac Pro 5.1 12 core to replace my Mac Pro 4.1 8 core. Does anyone know if these draw significantly more current than the 4.1's? It seems to be kicking my circuit breaker every so often. Never had this problem with the 4.1.

I have to add this was very dirty inside when I got it. Lots of lint like it had been on a carpet. I took out the processor tray and blew off the lint. Have not done a throughout cleaning yet.

Mac Pro 5,1 (2010)

Electrical and operating requirements

  • Line voltage: 100-120V AC or 200-240V AC (wide-range power supply input voltage)
  • Frequency: 50Hz to 60Hz single phase
  • Current: Maximum of 12A (low-voltage range) or 5A (high-voltage range)
  • Operating temperature: 50° to 95° F (10° to 35° C)
  • Storage temperature: -40° to 116° F (-40° to 47° C)
  • Relative humidity: 5% to 95% noncondensing
  • Maximum operating altitude: 10,000 feet

The IEC power cords that fit everything are rated at 13 Amps.

A standard household nominal 120 Volt circuit in the US is fused at 15 Amps.
